Good bag for a commuter student (male)?

What is a good messenger bag for college students ride a male? My old bag broke and I need a new one. I've been looking at the small Timbuk2 Messenger, but I'm sure it will be able to do all my stuff. The bag must buy at least maintaining – a netbook / mini laptop 10 "- a college-level textbook or two – a spiral notebook – pens, calculators, Know any bags good for me?
