why teachers prefer to use lesson plan?

please answer ASAP, this is for my thesis, thank you all…

I’m a teacher and prefer not to use a lesson plan. I go to school every day with a general idea of what I’m going to teach but the class typically will ask a question or two that will take the lesson into a totally different direction. A lot of teachers like lesson plans to give structure to their day but they lose flexibility. Using a lesson plan (to me) is more teacher-centered than student-centered. I prefer to be student-centered.
