Baby Carriers Slings
What baby carrier, sling, or wrap will hold alot of pounds?
My daughter is 4 months and I want a carrier that will last us a long time. Any good advice?
my favorite all around carrier for any age and any weight is a woven wrap. Some good ones are didymos, storch (I have the Inka and love love it!!), hoppediez any thing german and woven will be a work horse for you.
Once my kids get to about 8 months or so, you can’t go wrong with a good sturdy Mei Tai. I have a babyhawk and have used both wraps and a couple of different Mei tais for all ages and weights. I even wore my 23 mo. old daughter when I was 9 months pregnant still, and no discomfort or pain. I don’t typically like to wear younger babies in a MT, as it’s not as comfortable for me as a wrap, but many moms do it.
Pouches are great for quick trips in and out the grocery store, as they’re easy to get on and off and quick to put the baby in. I have had a black fleece peanut shell for 3 years now and it’s still going strong, it has carried anything from a newborn to a lanky 35 lb 3 year old and could for sure support more than that even.
